Head protection come by way of a host of features but starts with the Polymer Shell. This is a tough outer shell that fends off bumps, knocks and slow speed crashes - think tree branch hits or slow speed falls around a steep hairpin. Then as speed increases and crashes get more gnarly, the in-mould impact foam inner comes to the fore. This absorbs and dissipates crash forces, providing superb head protection. The adjustable visor also breaks away during crashes, reducing rotational forces on your head and neck.
360° Turbine Technology
The 360° Turbine Technology is focused on reducing the damaging effects of a crash on your brain. It works via 360 °moving discs, all made from an energy-absorbing material. These impart a reduction of rotational acceleration to the head and brain by up to 40%. The system also improves the absorption of impact energy - it reduces peak brain acceleration by up to 30% at the impact speeds associated with concussion.
Sweat-Busting Ventilation
When you're taking on challenging Enduro race or tough trails it's not just the safety features that will impress. Ventilation is also excellent. A combination of 23 vents and MaxiFlow impact foam air channels creates highly effective cooling airflow over your head, even at slower speeds. And for uphill pedals, remove the chinbar and enjoy the extra airflow of an open face helmet. Getting sweaty is pretty inevitable though. And the moisture-wicking Dri-Lex® liner helps in this regard, keeping sweat away as you warm up. Being anti-dour and washable too, you'll enjoy freshness every ride. A Fidlock magnetic closure system makes securing the 3.0 super easy too.
